Abstract

Objective To formulate an expert consensus on humanistic care strategies for emergency department nurses (hereinafter referred to as the "consensus"), aiming to provide guidance for caring for emergency department nurses. Methods The initial draft of the "consensus" was compiled through methods such as literature review and qualitative interviews. From May to June 2025,2 rounds of expert inquiries were conducted with 16 experts from 10 provinces and municipalities in the fields of emergency nursing, nursing management or humanistic caring. Through expert argumentation,the initial draft was revised to form a "consensus" final version. Results The recovery rates of valid questionnaires in both rounds of expert inquiries were 100%. The authority coefficient of experts is 0.86;the coefficient of judgment basis is 0.81;the coefficient of familiarity is 0.90. The Kendall harmony coefficients were 0.211 and 0.247 respectively,both with P<0.05. The final "consensus" formed encompasses 6 aspects: organizational management, working environment, training empowerment and psychological support, occupational health,professional development and self-caring. Conclusion The "consensus" is scientific and applicable, and can guide nursing managers to enhance humanistic care for nurses in the emergency department.
