Abstract
A propagation model for the CABAC entropy codec for VTM is proposed and analysed in terms of its effective estimation and packing loss. In order to be compatible and implement a next-generation coding framework, the proposed model is designed taking into account the conditions of multiple estimators while minimising the increased complexity caused by the inherent dependencies of CABAC through various optimisations, including contextual forwarding and drop rate configurations. The complete algorithm and description have been briefly introduced. Experiments have shown that inter-modal quality refinement can be achieved up to 1.0 dB improvement in a coded environment.
