Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) is widely used in the simulation of chemical disaster, and some simulation platform based on VR has been designed and implemented. A simulation platform with real-time intervention based on disaster mechanism model and VR technology was presented in this paper, which is designed and implemented by multi-thread computing, object-oriented technology and rendering model simplification. The result of simulation shows that the interaction of platform in simulation is very easy, and the parameters of environment or accident can be changed in real time, which makes the chemical security education and demonstration more realistic and effective.
