Abstract

This paper employs bibliometric methods, combined with the H-index, using the CNKI database as the data source. It analyzes the current state of intercultural communication research in China from various perspectives, including keywords, research years, source types, authors, and research institutions. The results indicate that intercultural communication research has become a hot topic in the Chinese academic community. Scholars and institutions in this field are primarily from top-tier universities (Project 985 and 211 universities), with the Communication University of China being the most active. Regarding journal sources, the key journals in Chinese intercultural communication research are Journal News Research and Southeast Communication.
