Abstract

This paper described the study of 15 trace rare earth elements of soil samples by ICP-MS. A rapid and complete dissolution of the soil sample was achieved using a lithium metaborate digestion procedure. Detection limits for 15 rare earth elements are 0.006-0.024μg/L. 15 trace rare earth elements in soil certified reference material (CRM) GBW 07401 was determined by ICP-MS. The results are in good agreement with the certified values without separation and enrichment procedures. RSD are 0.8%-4.8%.
