N2 - Traditional crafts require technically reproducible transformation paths if they are to remain visible in contemporary product design. This paper investigates how Macao bamboo scaffolding technology can be translated into an interactive product system while retaining its modular construction logic, material symbolism, and public cultural value. A prototype of an interactive bamboo-woven artwork was redesigned around a ring-screen display, a modular bamboo frame, touch sensing, light-adaptive control, and limited voice commands. The study establishes a design model that maps scaffolding elements into structural, visual, and interaction parameters. A small-scale prototype evaluation involving 24 participants was organized in an indoor exhibition setting. The measured mean touch-response latency was 0.31 s, the average voice-command recognition accuracy was 82.5%, the illumination-adjustment error was 6.8%, and the overall user-experience score reached 4.21 out of 5. The results indicate that a sensing and display architecture can support cultural interpretation, interactive engagement, and modular deployment.
