The responses and challenges of COVID-19 in Macao

Abstract

Over 19,936,210 confirmed COVID-19 cases globally with 732,499 deaths with 217 countries/territories/areas involved for the public-health crisis of COVID-19 on 11 August 2020. Of 46 COVID-19 confirmed cases in Macao since 22 January 2020 (7 cases from Wuhan, China), 46 cases have recovered and discharged from hospital for the 45 case discharged on 19 May 2020. No.46 imported case returned to Macao and confirmed on 26 June 2020 after over 78 days without COVID-19 case in Macao and discharged on 17 July 2020. Why did Macao do to keep the low confirmed cases of COVID-19? How did the educational responses and challenges towards COVID-19 in Macao? The key reason should be the fast response and to ask all residents to stay at home with wearing mask since the outbreak announced by China on 21 Jan 2020, as well as "learning from home"policy for all Macao students since 3 Feb 2020. The purpose of this paper is to present the responses and challenges of COVID-19 in Macao.
