N2 - Cultivating innovative nursing professionals is crucial for the long-term development of the discipline and serving the Healthy China strategy. Addressing the pain points in the cultivation of innovative abilities in nursing professionals, such as fragmented curriculum systems, static resource support, weak integration of research and application, and insufficient internalization of value guidance, School of Nursing, Peking University has explored a paradigm for cultivating innovative abilities based on their over ten years of teaching reform and practice. This paper proposes a key solution path: A stepped curriculum system (Comprehensive), AI-enabled adaptive teaching resource system (AI & Adaptive), a research-driven (Research-driven), multi-dimensional innovative practice platform, and ethics-embedded curriculum elements (Ethics-embedded). It employs a three-pronged approach: “ideological and political guidance, intelligent empowerment, and a three-pronged approach of curriculum-platform-resource”, referred to as the “CARE-CPR” integrated model. This model has helped School of Nursing effectively overcome key bottlenecks in innovative nursing education, enhancing students’ innovative abilities and outputs, and provided an important practical example for the reform and innovation of advanced nursing education in China.
