摘要
Study tours have become a specialized form of tourism. Although much has been discussed about the benefits of study tours for students, little research has examined—from the teachers’ perspective—the benefits they could obtain from study tours. The current research aims to examine the factors influencing teachers’ sense of fulfillment obtained from a study tour. By conducting exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling, the results show that six variables are influential to teachers’ sense of fulfillment: (1) social status; (2) salary and benefits; (3) career development; (4) interpersonal relationships; (5) work environment; and (6) skill improvement. Among the six variables examined, skill enhancement stands out as the primary determinant, which sheds light on the satisfaction achievable to educators via study tours. Theoretical implications and practical considerations are discussed.
