摘要
Young female employees have faced tremendous work stress and conflicts between work and family have plagued their future career development. This study collected 254 samples from young female dealers in Macau to investigate the effect of work–family conflict on turnover intention. The results reveal that work stress negatively mediates family-work conflict (WFC) and work-family conflict (FWC) toward turnover intention. Work stress and job satisfaction fully and sequentially mediate WFC and FWC toward turnover intention. FWC influenced physiological and psychological stress, but WFC impacted physiological but psychological stress. FWC and work stress could significantly affect job satisfaction and turnover intention when controlling variables like age, education, and marital status of young female employees. The contribution of the presented article reveals the internal mechanism of work–family conflict for young females in the organizational socialization processes. Some management suggestions were proposed to reduce the turnover intention of young female dealers.
