Machado de Assis na China: contos traduzidos

This article aims to highlight the collection of short stories by Machado de Assis released in China in 2020, organized by Xuefei Min. In this text, based on Genette (2009), we will first analyze the paratexts, and then, with the help, mainly of Berman (1995) and Pym (2012), we will discuss the translational position, the translation project and the horizon of the translator(s) of this collection, as well as aspects related to the ethics of translation.
