摘要

The aim of this chapter is to introduce five mindfulness-based interventions for children and adolescents. These interventions are three-step meditation for youth, mindful photography, mindful snacking, singing bowl meditation, and calligraphy meditation. While the teachings of the Buddha have inspired and continue to give rise to many mindfulness-based activities, the above interventions are inspired by the note, know, choose model of Lee and Tang (2023) which involves a three-step procedure of mental training for the purpose of making mindful choices with a view to reducing suffering. In the context of the present chapter, both children and teenagers can benefit from such training to help them not only cope with the challenges they face in today’s stressful world but also teach them skills to sustain mental health and well-being.
